The Power of Periodization
- PROBLEM #1: Too many women, like ourselves, don't know enough about their bodies.
- ....and it’s not our fault! We as a society keep “period talk” a taboo subject in which we were never taught how to live with our fluctuating hormones.
- PROBLEM #2: Too many women don't know ANYTHING about their 4-phases of their cycle
- Scientific studies are majority done on men who have 24-hour hormonal cycles. Meanwhile, females have 28-day hormonal cycles! Our bodies are fluctuating constantly, which means that we have different lifestyle and dietary needs during each of our cycle's phases: menstruation, follicular, ovulation, luteal. So for example, when a woman tries to Intermittent fast during her period/menstruation phase - she might end up gaining weight instead of losing/maintaining weight! Our society bases results from trendy diets off of science that is mostly done on men. It's time to realize that we should be treating OUR bodies differently!
- PROBLEM #3: Too many women are suffering in silence on a daily basis and thinking it's normal.
