Who else is sick, tired after looking at all of the ingredients on a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup wrapper... after you just INHALED it?
I always ask myself, WHY did I just eat that!? I unfortunately never feel “good” after I have my ALL TIME FAVORITE candies..so I got to experimenting. Why not make my own recipe that tastes just like a Reese's AND BENEFITS my health? So..I tried a few recipes and I think we may have finally created the healthiest version of a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup (Thanks EATING EVOLVED CHOCOLATE)…
WHAT YOU NEED:
Natural Peanut Butter (Or almond butter, but it will taste more like a Reece’s with Peanut butter)
Butter Cup Mold ($9.50 Purchase on amazon here)
WHAT YOU DO: It’s so simple it hurts..
Melt a bar of 100% Cacao Eating Evolved Chocolate in a microwave save bowl (I like to do it 30 seconds at a time, mixing it until I see that it is all melted)
Then I take 1/4 - 1/2 cup of Coconut Oil (depends on how many you want) and I melt it in another microwave safe bowl for about 30 seconds
Pour the melted coconut oil into the bowl with the melted chocolate and stir with a spoon
Pour that mix into each butter cup mold
Put the mold in the freezer for about a minute so that the bottom of the butter cups can “set”
Take the mold of freezer and drop in some peanut butter into each butter cup mold (The peanut butter should set right in the middle of the butter cup and disappear under the top layer of chocolate..if not it’s okay..it doesn’t have to be picture perfect)
Then you’re all done! Put the mold in the freezer for over 20 minutes
When the butter cups are frozen, pop them out of the mold and BOOM, enjoy (TIP: I like to keep them in freezer until I want to eat them, they will melt pretty quickly)
