GUYS! WE CAN'T STOP MAKING SMOOTHIES.

LET’S TALK ABOUT WHY SMOOTHIES ARE SO AWESOME...

1. QUICK TO MAKE!

THEY USUALLY TAKE US ABOUT 5 MINUTE OR LESS, AND BOOM, YOU'RE ON YOUR WAY. KICK THE "I HAVE NO TIME" EXCUSE TO THE CURB.

2. GREAT ON THE GO!

WHILE WE ALWAYS RECOMMEND THAT OUR CLIENTS TAKE TIME TO SLOW DOWN AND ENJOY THEIR FOOD AT THE TABLE, WE KNOW THAT IT ISN’T ALWAYS REALISTIC IN TODAY’S WORLD.

SOMETIMES, I MAKE MY SMOOTHIE FIRST THING IN THE MORNING AND BRING IT ALONG WITH ME TO MY WORKOUT IN MY YETI MUG OR HEALTHY HUMAN. STAYS IN TACT FOR A FEW HOURS AND I CAN ENJOY IT WHEN I’M READY!


3. YOU CAN SNEAK VEGGIES INTO YOUR DAY

THIS IS SUCH AN EASY WAY TO ADD VEGGIES INTO YOUR DAY. AND YOU DON'T EVEN TASTE THEM IN THERE! YOU CAN USE ALMOST ANY TYPE. SOME OF OUR FAVORITES INCLUDE:

  • SPINACH

  • KALE

  • BROCCOLI

  • CAULIFLOWER

  • ZUCCHINI

  • COCONUT CHUNKS

  • SWEET POTATO

PRO TIP: BUY FROZEN VEGGIES. THEY MAKE YOUR LIFE INSANELY EASY BECAUSE YOU CAN KEEP THEM IN YOUR FREEZER AND THEY'LL NEVER GO BAD! A LOT OF TIMES, YOU CAN BUY THESE VEGGIES ORGANIC [WHOLE FOODS OR TRADER JOES] -- AND BONUS: IT TURNS OUT THAT THESE VEGGIES AND FRUITS ARE FLASH FROZEN AT THEIR PEAK NUTRITIONAL VALUE [ALL THE NUTRIENTS]!

BY PUTTING TOGETHER THE RIGHT INGREDIENTS, YOU'LL GET EVERYTHING YOUR BODY NEEDS, DOWN TO THE CELLULAR LEVEL. -LET'S GET TO IT!-

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 1-2 TBSP NUT BUTTER [OUR FAVORITES ARE ARTISANA ALMOND BUTTER OR THRIVE MARKET'S RAW ALMOND BUTTER]

  • ¼ - ⅓ CUP FROZEN BERRIES [OR 1/3 BANANA]

  • make sure you don't overdo it with the fruit! too much fruit equals a large spike in your blood sugar!

  • 1-2 TBSPs CHIA SEEDS OR FLAX SEEDS

  • HEALTHY HANDFUL OF SPINACH

  • 1 SERVING VITAL PROTEINS [VANILLA + COCONUT WATER]

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  1. PLACE ALL INGREDIENTS [EXCEPT FOR WATER] IN A HIGH SPEED BLENDER. [BTW, WE ARE LITERALLY OBSESSED WITH OUR VITAMIX. IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE, YOU ARE MISSING OUT.]

  2. ADD 1-3 CUPS OF WATER UNTIL YOU HIT DESIRED CONSISTENCY. THIS PART IS UP TO YOU! THE TRICK IS YOU WANT THERE TO BE ENOUGH LIQUID SO THAT THE BLENDER CAN BLEND PROPERLY, BUT DO YOU DON'T WANT TO MAKE IT TOO WATERY. WE RECOMMEND POURING IN WATER AS YOU GO.

  3. POUR INTO A GLASS AND ADD OPTIONAL TOPPINGS LIKE COCONUT FLAKES, CACAO CHIPS, OR PUMPKIN SEEDS!
