Our Must-Have Eco-Friendly Products

May 03, 2020
We are passionate about making moves for our planet, one reusable item at a time. No matter how big or small, we can all make changes to help this sweet earth. With the goal in mind to make that transition easier for you, we compiled our favorite eco-friendly products in this blog.

What do we mean by eco-friendly? We mean purchasing products that are not harmful to us or our environment. Eco-friendly and all natural products ensure safety from all dangerous chemicals, and allow us to avoid any additives that can cause harm to us or Mother Earth.

If you ask us, one of the best parts of living an eco-friendly lifestyle is that you can reuse majority of your products over and over again! And although eco-friendly products may seem to be more expensive at first, they are actually more cost efficient in the long-term. We promise, it's worth every dollar spent!

Mason Jars

Switch from using plastic cups to using reusable glass jars to avoid BPA

Glass containers

Same concept here, avoid plastic as much as you can and opt for glass containers! Although they will be heavier than you are used to, you can heat them in the microwave and transport your food safely! Buy a variety of sizes to use for meal-prep, travel or storing food stacked neatly in the fridge!

Switch from plastic wrap to Bumblebee wrap [it's reusable and made out of beeswax]! ZERO WASTE and it keeps your food fresh!

Switch from plastic straws to reusable straws! Don't worry, most of the time they come with cleaners. We're especially loving the glass straws lately because you can really tell that they need a deeper cleaning.

Microfiber Clothes

Avoid wasting a ton of paper towels by opting for a microfiber cloth. Whenever the cloth gets really dirty, throw them in the wash and dryer [or hang dry]

Avoid wasting plastic bags by investing in a $1-5 reusable shopping bag [you can usually get them at checkout at Trader Joes or Whole Foods].

Produce Bags

Who wants their fruits & vegetables sitting in plastic anyways? Bring these right along with you to the supermarket so you can bag your celery the green way!

Swell Water-bottles

Avoid BPA-filled plastic water bottles and invest in a nice stainless steel reusable water bottle. Our Swell keeps smoothies cold for up to 10 hours even in the summer!

 ReZip bags

Forget the clear plastic zip locks! Opt for a reusable zip lock bag to avoid plastic chemicals like BPA and save money while doing so :)

 Berkey Water filter

We LOVE our Berkey water filters! They have the world’s most powerful and cost effective personal water purification systems, providing reliable and user friendly water purification at home or from any fresh water source.

The filters are gravity fed, so no need of electricity or water pressure. They purify water from bacteria, viruses, chlorine, pesticides, herbicides and other harmful toxins. *I bought the travel size Berkey and it's perfect for 2 people!

Dryer Balls

Yes, there's even an eco-friendly way to do your laundry. These wool dryer balls are such a great, chemical-free alternative to plastic dryer balls, dryer sheets, and other toxic softeners. Plus they take the wrinkles & static cling out of your fresh laundry! Also, wool dryer balls have been shown to cut down your drying time.

TIP: Throw a few drops of you favorite essential oils on them and your clothes will smell amazing!

Coffee Mug

If you're the type that doesn't make your morning bev at home, do your part for the planet by getting a reusable coffee mug. We're obsessed with our Yetis because they keep our drinks at the desired temperature for a LONG TIME, piping hot or ice cold. You just can't beat that.
