Homemade Greek Yogurt Everything Bagels

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup non-fat Greek yogurt (make sure it's nonfat because regular yogurt will be too sticky)
  • 1 egg white whisked 
  • Toppings: We used Everything But The Bagel Seasoning but you can go crazy and use whatever you want!

HERE'S WHAT YOU DO: 

  • Preheat oven to 375F.
  • Spray oil on parchment paper and place on a baking sheet.
  • Separately, in a medium bowl combine the flour, baking powder and salt and whisk well.
  • Add the yogurt and mix until combined (it will look like small crumbles)
  • Sprinkle some flour to a work area on the counter
  • Take the dough and knead it on the flour-covered surface (about 15x) *Here is where we went wrong, the dough was sticking to our hands! Make sure the dough is not sticking and if it is, try and add more flour.
  • Divide the batch into 4 equal balls and roll each ball into 3/4-inch thick ropes. Then join the ends to form bagels.
  • Top the bagels with the whisked egg and add seasoning
  • Bake on the top rack of the oven for 25 minutes!
