Homemade Greek Yogurt Everything BagelsMay 07, 2020
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup non-fat Greek yogurt (make sure it's nonfat because regular yogurt will be too sticky)
- 1 egg white whisked
- Toppings: We used Everything But The Bagel Seasoning but you can go crazy and use whatever you want!
HERE'S WHAT YOU DO:
Preheat oven to 375F.
Spray oil on parchment paper and place on a baking sheet.
Separately, in a medium bowl combine the flour, baking powder and salt and whisk well.
Add the yogurt and mix until combined (it will look like small crumbles)
Sprinkle some flour to a work area on the counter
- Take the dough and knead it on the flour-covered surface (about 15x) *Here is where we went wrong, the dough was sticking to our hands! Make sure the dough is not sticking and if it is, try and add more flour.
Divide the batch into 4 equal balls and roll each ball into 3/4-inch thick ropes. Then join the ends to form bagels.
Top the bagels with the whisked egg and add seasoning
Bake on the top rack of the oven for 25 minutes!
