We're the Balanced Beyars Health Coach Sisters, Julie, Carly and Alaina Beyar. Three high-level collegiate soccer players turned holistic health coaches and hormone health specialists.

Long story, short. As athletes we grew up with one-way of living; GOING HARD, FAST, AND STRONG, ALL OF THE TIME. This go-go-go mentality didn't make us the most intuitive people in the world because as athletes, if you're hurting or tired, you just keep pushing. Fast forward to graduation, entering the real world and becoming health coaches. When we learned that the state of your period directly correlates with your health, we couldn't help be realize that each of us were dealing with some serious hormonal imbalances.
Carly had secondary amenorrhea, aka. missing her period for almost 10 years. Alaina suffered from Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and was told she might never be able to conceive. Julie dealt with severe anxiety, painful cramps to the point of not being able to leave her house and IBS.
As health coaches, it made us stop and reflect. We didn't want to take a pill or medication to cover up our problems. We wanted to treat the root cause of our own individual issues. What and how were we eating, exercising and managing our stress that can be causing these hormonal imbalances? The answer was clear. We were still working out like high-level athletes, almost 2 hours a day. We were eating high-sugar processed carb diets because we thought we could just burn off the calories like we did in college. We were stressed up, anxious and ready for a change.

As we learned more about hormones, we knew what we had to do. Taking what we learned as hormone health specialists, we created better habits that supported our hormone health. We adjusted our diet, slowed down our workout regimen, took moments to breathe deeper, eased off synthetic birth control, and started eating and exercising in different ways during each phase of our cycle.
Carly regained her period and now has a healthy 28-day cycle with little to no symptoms each month. Alaina's ovarian cysts minimized and she was able to get pregnant! She now has a beautiful baby boy. Julie reduced her period pains that once had her home all day and lessened her anxiety by cutting her daily coffee habit.
