The 5 Apps Quietly Helping My Mental Health + Happiness

MOTHERHOOD

Who knew my phone would turn into a gratitude, manifesting, meditating machine? Not me.

the 5 apps saving me from doomscrolling!

I’m a mom of two and over the last year I’ve been trying really hard to protect my peace, reduce doomscrolling, and be more intentional with my time, mindset, and energy. These are a few apps that have genuinely helped me feel calmer, happier, more present, and more connected to the life I’m actually living!

Activations App

  • Positive affirmations + mindset reset audios that help me start my day grounded, grateful, and excited about life again. I’ve been listening to these during quiet moments, while cleaning, driving, or doing things around the house and they genuinely help shift my mindset. They have sooo many audios for every mood and season of life, and I always leave feeling calmer, more positive, and more connected to what actually matters.

Stella App

  • This app creates personalized manifestation stories and future-self visualizations based on your goals. You input personal details, names of people in your life, and exactly what you want to manifest, and it generates the most insanely customized manifestations. Honestly… it gives me chills every time. It’s crazy to think but I’ve already manifested two of the goals I set on there!!!! It works!!!

Medigraytions by Dr. Laura Graye

  • These are “medical meditations” designed to help calm your nervous system, support healing, and reconnect your mind + body. I’ve been using the anxiety, breathing, and digestive playlists a lot lately and they’ve become such a grounding tool for me. They remind me that I have the power within myself to heal, slow down, regulate my emotions, and take care of my mental and physical health in a gentler way.

    • When you use code “balancedbeyars” you can get these medical meditations of only $88 (regularly $112)

Pinterest

  • I use Pinterest less for fantasy and more for inspiration. It helps me romanticize and intentionally create the life I’m building instead of constantly comparing myself to everyone online. I use it for recipes, wellness, motherhood ideas, home inspiration, routines, workouts, crafts, aesthetics… literally everything. It’s become such a creative outlet for me and always leaves me feeling inspired instead of drained.

Brick Your Phone

  • Probably the best thing I’ve ever invested in for my mental health. I Brick my phone from 4pm–9am daily so I can fully unplug from social media, stop doomscrolling, and actually be PRESENT with my kids and husband after work hours. It’s helped me realize how much of life I was missing while constantly being pulled back into my phone. Now my evenings feel calmer, slower, and so much more intentional. Honestly feels like I got my life back.

Final thoughts

I’m definitely not perfect, but replacing constant doomscrolling with apps that support my mindset, healing, creativity, and presence has genuinely changed my mental health for the better. Tiny shifts really do add up. And for me, these apps have been tiny shifts with huge impact. ✨
